I like photographing gulls they twist and turn and as such are a hard subject to capture in mid flight and make good practice for in flight wildlife shots.

While visting my local nature reserve one decided to do the decent thing for once and start fishing only 20 yards out from the hide. The camera was primed and the rest is history. There will be more photos to come!

Well a blog has to start somewhere. So what am i going to be doing over the next few weeks. Well with some luck i should be in Dorset by the weekend if all goes to plan if not i have a backup plan which involved me heading to Hampshire instead and with any luck i might get down to the New Forest and try and get some pictures of the Redstarts that are currently there and also some Goshawks and other birds of prey.

I may also have a look down the river test on some known otter spots to see if i can grab a photograph of an otter, something i have yet managed to do on the test. They are there though i have seen them but never with the camera on me. Sods law i guess.

In the near future i will be heading back down to my local reserve to try and get some shots of the summer migrants and also a few of locals including my old favourite the Little Egret.

Cheers,

Nick
